These hills are known as the Kata-Tjutas, or as the Olgas. They are near to Uluru, and occupy similarly sacred space in the Dreamtime geo-cosmology. A few of the hills have paths open to visitors like us. We were there in the Austral winter of 2013. The weather was cool and mild during the day, but down to freezing every night.
